TAKE 01

Silent clipAn animated duo
A blindfolded swordsman and a white-haired dark elf trade bars. A cast no real shoot could book.
TREND 01 · RAP & FREESTYLE · 15S
Two seats, one hanging mic, one orange room. Upload a photo to each seat — two people, or two photos of the same person — and the duo verse renders as a 15-second widescreen clip. Add the track in TikTok or Reels when you post.
No prompt to write. No watermark.

THE TEMPLATE
The Hotel Lobby template is the room, not the faces.
01
Matte orange walls, one microphone hanging between two marks, a single wide take. No cutaways to hide behind.
02
One photo per seat. Two friends, a couple, two coworkers — or the same person twice, even the same photo in both slots. Everyone shown must be 18 or older.
03
15 seconds, 16:9, MP4, silent, no watermark. Add the track in TikTok or Reels before you post.
WATCH
All three Hotel Lobby examples below use the same booth, the same blocking and the same single take. Only the cast changes. The clips are silent — add the sound in the app.

ORIGIN
2022
The staging appears: one room, one hanging mic, one unbroken wide take, two performers trading verses.
September 2026
The format comes back. New versions of the two-shot spread across feeds — the staging is what makes each one readable.
Now
The template is open. Two photos, two seats — the same person in both is fine.
A staging format that circulates on short-form video
Hotel Lobby is a staging format: two people stand on either side of a hanging microphone in a matte-orange room and trade verses in one unbroken wide shot. No cutaways, no crowd, no second camera.
The format keeps coming back because the staging is rigid: two bodies, one mic, one take. Change who is standing there and the scene still reads — which is why new versions of it spread across short-form feeds again in late September 2026.
GenReel turns that staging into a template rather than a prompt. The room, the blocking and the mic are fixed. You bring two photos, one per seat — two people, or the same person twice. The export is silent on purpose: the music people associate with the format is licensed material, so you add the sound in TikTok or Reels when you post. That's also why the output is widescreen and 15 seconds — that is the shape of the format.
The staging is doing most of the work. A single wide shot means there's nowhere to hide: both performers have to stay in frame, share the mic, and react to each other. That's why the template reads as a performance rather than a filter — and why a bad photo is more obvious here than in a one-person trend.

HOW IT WORKS
01
Upload one portrait per seat. Both seats can be the same person — two different photos, or the same photo twice. A phone selfie works if the face is clear and the light is even.
02
Both faces should sit at roughly the same distance from the camera. The template scales them into the booth.
03
The clip renders in the background. Download the silent MP4, add the Hotel Lobby sound in TikTok or Reels, then post.
PHOTO CHECK
Hotel Lobby is forgiving about almost everything except a face it can't read.
The model doesn't need a studio portrait. It needs a face it can map: eyes, nose, mouth, jawline, all facing the same direction. A sharp phone photo beats a soft DSLR photo every time.
A group shot gives the model three candidates and no clear answer. Crop each person into their own file before you upload.
The booth frames both performers from the chest up. A face-only crop can push the chin out of frame; a full-body shot leaves the face too small to map.
A window behind the subject is the most common reason a render comes back soft. Face the light, keep both cheeks evenly exposed, and avoid a lamp on one side only.
The model needs eyes and a mouth to build the performance. Take the sunglasses off, uncover the mouth, and turn off beauty filters that blur the jawline.
CASTING
Hotel Lobby needs a face. It doesn't need a reason.
01
Two photos. Pick the one who'll actually watch it back.
02
One loud, one deadpan beats two loud.
03
The generational gap is the whole bit.
04
Keep it internal. Or don't.
05
The one who keeps the chat alive. Give them the second seat.
06
The same photo in both seats, or two different shots of you. Twins, or a solo act with a hype man.
If you're unsure, start with the pair you'd actually send the clip to.
ONE PHOTO, TWO SEATS
Yes. There's no mode to switch on — upload the same photo to both seats, or two different photos of the same person. The template only fills the two seats in the scene, so two identical people in the room is a perfectly valid cast.
VERSE BRIEFS
Hotel Lobby runs 15 seconds — enough for one good idea, not a story. Eight briefs that fit:
The friend who's always 40 minutes late.
Your group chat's worst take.
A birthday roast with no survivors.
The coworker who says "quick question."
The group chat at 2am.
The couple that argues about directions.
Your 2026 goals, read back to you.
The family group chat at 7am.
These are caption starters, not lyrics. The export is silent; add the original sound in TikTok or Reels.

QUESTIONS
It's a fixed staging format: two people, one hanging microphone, one orange room, one unbroken wide shot. You upload photos and the template fills both seats in that scene.
No. You need two files, one per seat, but they can be identical — the same photo in both slots, or two different photos of the same person. The template fills both seats either way.
Left takes the opening verse. Upload the person you want to open the clip on the left, or switch the two seats before you render.
The template exports a silent MP4. The original recording is licensed material, so we don't embed it. Add the Hotel Lobby sound in TikTok or Reels when you post — that's where the platform's music license applies.
15 seconds, 16:9, 720p MP4, silent, no watermark. It's sized for widescreen playback.
Not in this version. Hotel Lobby is fixed at 15 seconds and 16:9. Other trends on GenReel use different formats.
Usually a few minutes. Rendering runs in the background, so you can close the page — the clip appears in your library when it's done.
The credits return to your balance automatically, and your photos stay in their slots so you can try again without re-uploading.
It's a stylized recreation, and GenReel has no face-swap feature — it never moves one person's face onto another person. Front-facing photos with even light give the closest likeness; profiles, sunglasses and hard shadows soften it.
No. Use one face per photo. If you only have a group shot, crop each person into their own file before uploading — the template needs one clear face per seat.
Only with their permission, and never a public figure. You also need to be 18 or older to generate.
terms of serviceThe template costs 800 credits per video. There's no separate subscription for it; credits are the only cost, and failed renders are refunded.
